IBS NEWS
2012 MARCH 12 TILL 16
IBS is doing assignments in Bangalore in week 11 (March 12-16), and invites clients and connections from the Bengaluru area, and those who wish to open up business there, to meet up. Our central point of contact will be at the Gandhinagar Comfort Inn (Vijay Residency), only minutes from Bangalore University, Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, Cubbon Park, Ulsoor lake, and Vidhan Soudha. Send mail to francis.laleman@dunya.be to schedule an appointment.
Bangalore is the leading force in world class software development industries, with Infosys, WIPRO, and TCS as a three-pointed crown. The companies of the so-called new economy all draw from the excellent educational sources available in the city and its surroundings.
Bangalore, also, is a leader in export from India: It's textile exports (most in particular: silk) account for a large part of the Karnataka state's revenue. Due to a large amount of granite quarries in the immediate vicinity of the city, granite as well is taking its due share in export statistics.
For foreigners and expats: have a look at the many USPs of Bangalore here, and discover the great fun of living and working in Bangalore by coming over and have a smell and a taste of it yourself.

2010-02-01 - INDIA BUSINESS SUPPORT RESTRUCTURED
At a cozy meeting held at the offices of Bert Verdonck, where his wife Tonya had been preparing an exquisite meal, Bert Verdonck and Francis Laleman agreed upon a restructuring of IBS as an organisation. Henceforth, the end responsibility and operational management of IBS will be taken over by Francis Laleman, which turns IBS into a business unit of Francis Laleman bvba. Bert, who was IBS's initiator, will of course be staying on as a mentor and inspirator and member of the IBS team of trainer-consultants. With this move, IBS is further developing into a one-stop shop with regard to all aspects of doing business in and with India. Originally mainly a sourcing agent and trade mission facilitator, a close relationship with Dunya now ensures addition of a package of high quality intercultural management and change management training programs. The revamp and general update of the IBS website (the one you are reading now) is the first externally tangible result of this new step for IBS. We sincerely thank Bert for his generosity in patrtly letting go of his cherished baby, and all our clients who have made possible the rapid and exponential growth of IBS.
